Bible Question: Ok I got a lot of questions because of the kooky professor... He says when we see God we will become like him because we understand Him. I thought when we see God we will become like Him because His glory will transform us, but He said no, we are gonna have a little talk and get changed... Laughing again? I tried not to, this was in class... Opinions and scriptures please. God Bless, Tamara |
Bible Answer: Hello Tamara, I'll take answer C - None of the above. While it is true we are changed from glory to glory, I would not say his glory changes us. Neither would I say a talk will do it. 1 Cor 15:53 (ESV) For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 1 John 3:2 (ESV) Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. These two passages help us to understand that there are changes to both our "outer man" and "inner man". In a sense, we will be like him because we understand him, but that is only part of the picture. Steve |
