Subject: dispensaionalism bad doctrine |
Bible Note: first of all i am definately not trying to make anybody look stupid. I don't claim to have all the answers or to be a bible scholar. I do have to admit though, as i had mentioned in one of my previous writings, that i have done some research on the subject. I was invited to a bible study on end times and it was a very deep and interesting study. The guy who was teaching it was very passionate about the bible and i was drawn in by his enthusiasm, but little by little he started telling me things that were not lining up with the scripture's. He wouldn't tell me everything at first, only bits and pieces but every once in a while he would let something slip out before he was supposed to. Well even though i didn't know a lot about end times i did study my bible quite a bit and new that what he was telling me was completely heretical. I stopped going to the study and decided to do a little research myself and was amazed at what i found. I told the guy that i had some major disagreements with his doctrine but wanted to build my case before i confronted him about it. When i had studied it out and went to confront him he totally blew up on me. It completely took me by suprise, i wasn't expecting that at all. Although i didn't agree with him i had a lot of respect for him for his devotion to studying, i had considered him a more mature believer than I(poor judgement of character on my part).Just like one of the other respondors i was totally oblivious to the fact that there were people who believed this way. Now i'm on a mission to bring this false doctrine to the light. If anyone is interested in knowing what all the dispensationalist believe i encourage you to do a little research yourself. you'll know your on the right track once you start coming across names like: Darby, Scofield and the Plymouth Brethren. |
