Bible Question: What does the significant conflict between Jesus and the ruling powers (Jewish and Roman) indicate about the nature of the Kingdom of God? |
Bible Answer: You might want to contrast the character of Jesus who was sinless with the character of the ruling powers - the Sadducees and the Pharisees. You can do this by reading the gospels and marking each in a different color. Then writing out the specific characteristics of each. The nature of the Kingdom of God sounds like the contrast of the Sadducees and Pharisees wanted to keep their earthly "kingdom", power, etc. where Christ Jesus had a heavenly kingdom. You could contrast the earthly kingdom which was power, status, control, etc. with the heavenly kingdom which was holy, righteous, etc. Hope this helps - Val |
