Bible Question (short): Concept of a 'just war' Biblical? |
Question (full): What is the truth about the "just war" concept? Is there such a thing as a "just war". Luther and Calvin thought there was based on a need to remove tryanical kings in order to relieve the people of bodily harm. Some Reformed theologians think so, they base their concept on Hebrews 11:32-34 because these saints who had faith were commended for fighting on behalf of Israel and on a father protecting his family in times of war, they call this the morality of war. Scriptures and opinions please. |
