Subject: What does the Bible say about cremation? |
Bible Note: We know upon death our bodies begin to decompose. Decomposition is caused by oxidation. The result is dust or ashes. Fire is just a rapid form of oxidation, it is the same process only at a faster scale. The result is the same, dust or ashes. In 2 Corinthians 5 Paul refers to our bodies as tents. What is precious is not the tent but the what is housed in tent and this we know leaves the tent when we die. I don’t think we should be callous with a dead body but I see no problem choosing rapid oxidation over a slower form of the same process. |
