Subject: Where did God and Jesus come from? |
Bible Note: Hello kitty, Actually, Jesus is eternal- pre-existing with the Father, "in the beginning". Otherwise, Col 1:16-17 makes no sense, "For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." (NASB) In John 3:16, Begotten has to do with His incarnation, not physical birth! Col. 1:13-18, First-born (Gr. prototokos) is in reference to His position over creation, not that he was literally "first born". God has no physical birth! My guess, is that you are espousing Watchtower theology? Arianism was defeated and renounced as heresy at the Council of Nicea back in 325!
