Bible Question: Where in the Bible is the term "Jew" first used and did it originate from the word Judaism? |
Bible Answer: the word, JEW is used first in the Book of Esther, (8 times) but I am not sure if that would be first in the chronological order. In 2 Kings, the word, 'Jews' is used twice, still being listed as the Strong's # H3064 and refers to someone who belonged to the kingdom of Judah. Later, after the removal of the ten tribes, the word Jew came to refer to any Israelite. |
