Bible Question: What are/is the EARLIEST manuscripts of 1 Corinthians 7? |
Bible Answer: I believe the earliest manuscript of 1 Cor 7 that we have is Papyrus 46 (Gregory Aland numbering) which is dated to around 175 to 225 AD as stated on Wikipedia. Most of the later translations NASB, ESV, and NLT use what is considered the most reliable translations. So I would worry less about the age of the manuscript and more about whether it is considered most reliable. |
