Bible Question: what are the duties of a church trustee |
Bible Answer: Hi, Nick... Welcome to the forum! Church administration is an interesting subject, but it is pretty involved. A trustee -- as well as other positions of responsibility -- would be dictated by the denomination or, even, the specific congregation. Typically they represent the financially responsible individuals; that is, those who assume responsibility for all outstanding debt should the church doors close. At least, that is one of the major functions that come to mind. Often banks will not loan money to a church without trustees... think of them as cosigners for everything. In Him, Doc |
