Subject: Did God the Father create Jesus |
Bible Note: Dear Doc, I have enjoyed your insight and depth of knowledge in your responses in the short time that I have been on this forum. I agree whole heartedly with the response of the triune nature of God. Passages such as Matt 3:16-:17, Matt 28:19, and II Cor 13:14 clearly teach and prove the doctrine of the three persons of the Godhead. I do not agree that the Church of Christ teaches against this doctrine. I am a member of the Church of Christ, and I have never heard anyone teach against the Trinity. We believe the bible alone as God's word and as the only source for doctrine. As noted above the bible clearly teaches that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three separate persons. We do not have a credal statement or confession of faith that defines a theological position for every Church of Christ. Each Church is autonomous and lead by their elders, deacons, and preachers. With that being the case, some Churches of Christ may teach as you have mentioned above. If they do, there is no doubt that they are wrong and their teaching should be labeled as heretical. I hope this clarifies you post. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you have. DD4Truth |
