Bible Question:
Luke 5:15 and 16 "But despite Jesus' instructions, the report of His (Jesus') power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear Him (Jesus) preach and to be healed of their deseases. But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness to pray." Why did Jesus withdrawl from the crowds to the wilderness - I know to pray - but couldn't He (Jesus) have done that anywhere? Why did He (Jesus) have to withdrawl? |
Bible Answer: Think about crowd dynamics. How could he spend any time in prayer when he had people coming in from all sides, asking and questioning, wanting to be healed and ministered to. He had to retreat to be able to have some quite time to spend with just him and the father without everyone right on top of him. Brad |
