Bible Question:
"...therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy." - in Genesis If God "Blessed" and "made it Holy", is it for ever, for Him or us? How does this sabbath day relate to us? Not by what the commandment in Exodus says but by what God has done to this day in Genesis. Do not provide anything related to the "day was changed to Sunday" ... that is just a pure lie!! .. no Biblical proof .. don't go there .. the importance is what did God mean by providing the inspired statement to Moses when he wrote Genesis? |
Bible Answer: First of all a sabbath would begin at sundown Friday and continue to sundown on Saturday. However, even though God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, he did not command man to observe a sabbath. That was only established with the nation of Israel and ended when Christ died, as he fulfilled the Law. |
