Bible Question: What does it mean to be saved in regards to the passage of Romans and Hebrews? |
Bible Answer: Hi, LC... In very broad terms salvation refers to the deliverance from some undesirable condition or state. Salvation in relation to the gospel, refers to the work of God in delivering His people from bondage to sin and condemnation. This results in slavery to righteousness (Rom 6:18) and eternal life (Rom 6:26). In theology, the study of salvation is called soteriology -- which comes from the Greek "soteria" which means "salvation." For further details see post #151193, and related posts. In Him, Doc |
