Bible Question:
Hi, I would like so seek help on spiritual happiness. I'm some what confused and not confused. The confused part is, are we sapost to be spiritual happy after we give our life to Christ? Meaning is are lives going to face troubles like Jesus faced in his life when he was human? Can't we experience happieness, because when you expect certain things from God and pray for them and try to get them, they some how a lot of the times turn around into feelings and thoughts you don't want. What are we to do in that type of situation? Could someone provide me with wisdom on this, and guidence and possibly some personal wisdom from your self, not just biblical aspects because the bible is sometimes hard to understand and comprehend for me. Thanks everyone. |
Bible Answer: Listen, I will break it down for you into simple and concise language. The bible says "God calls the rain to fall on the just and the unjust" This plainly put means...GOd is GOD, HE does whatever HE wants, and it is not about how good we are .... we will all experience hard ships. Everyone, because we are sinners (becuase of what Adam and Eve did) will have trouble. The bible is full of people, godly people who suffered immensly...not just JESUS. The disciples were all murdered for their faith (except one I think) Job was tortured and tormented and lost all that he had even though he was a good man and loved God. God says, if you try to hang onto your life, you are going to loose it. We must love God because of who HE is not what HE has done or will do for us. So, yes, you will face troubles, just like the rest of us...BUT the scripture is full of promises for health, happiness, peace (it even says Christs peace will flood our minds if we stay focused on HIM) joy unspeakalbe, and protection. Dont be intimidated by the bible.....PRAY and ask GOD for understanding when you read, and I promise HE can and will give it. Humble yourslef, that means don't be proud thinking you know everything, and then ask HIM to show you what HIS word means...HE will. Blessings to you, and hope this helps! |
