Bible Question: How does God view the world having numorous religions yet God strongly states he created the heaven and earth? In other terms, how has God given humans the freedom to develop such religions yet the top 3 rules in the 10 commandments are "You should have no other gods before me"? |
Bible Answer: Technically speaking, Christianity isn’t a religion it’s a relationship. Religions are a counterfeit contrivance of the devil and are in opposition to the work of God. 2 Tim. 2:25-26 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; [26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. In religion, man is supposed to get all of the credit for the work he does. i.e. the point system. In Christianity, God does all the work and He gets all the credit and all man can do is thank Him. There won’t be any braggers in heaven!! Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
