Bible Question:
Hi, does the Lord say where feelings come from and how to turn them into the goodness of what they're supposed to be? If it's thinking, how come it seems like that thinking has no effect on feelings when you try and change it and it seems like your eyes are directing your thoughts and feelings? Thank you, God bless... Jason |
Bible Answer: Feelings are our responders not our initiators. Feelings can’t be trusted, the object to be trusted is God’s Word, it must be “thus says the Lord”. God’s truth remains the only stable object that we can trust, not our feelings! Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: No room for feelings! Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. CDBJ |
