Bible Question: In what ways does the Saint Joseph edition of the new american standard bible DIFFER from the regular american standard bible ? I would like to know becuase I am about to start a program to try to memorize many of the verses word for word and want to make sure the study material for the program matches up with the bible that I have at home (and really like). If i go memorizing text from just a nasb will it throw me all off to sit down and look at my Saint Joseph Edition nasb? |
Bible Answer: Hello will_to_learn, The St. Joseph edition is a Roman Catholic Bible and will have the Aprocrypha included. The translation name is New American Bible. It is a completely different translation than the New American Standard Bible and is printed by a different company. It is easy to confuse the two translations. Steve |
