Subject: Providing with Life Assurance-Biblical? |
Bible Note: I appreciate your response. I am a Christian and saved by the Grace of God, for which I am immeasurably thankful. I appreciate that I judged him, as he was me, for worshipping on Sunday, having taken the sign of the beast by doing that. Is it not incredible that doctrines, views, opinions etc. abound amongst ALL of us who call ourselves Christians? I've been reading through of the stuff on this site and am deeply aware and concerned that, according to views out there, being saved by the Grace of God does not seem to be all that will get one to heaven. How is that possible to preach damnation and the Grace of God in one go? If repentance TRULY comes from the heart, and not me simply "adding" Christ onto my life because it seems to be working for my rich friend, why do people still WORK at being saved? This person said the following: "God does not want quantity, but quality. It is not for me to say God will not save someone by Grace, but that would mean the person has to uphold the Law" (referring to the Ten Commandments) God saving a person repenting on death row does not gel nicely with him, but he grudgingly says that it is not up to him. It would seem that, according to him, once I accept Jesus into my life, I HAVE TO UPHOLD THE LAW to be saved. Strange is it not? But, again, I thank you for admonishing me as far as judging is concerned. I want to so much keep telling him that Grace is sufficient! God bless! Stay in His love! Kindest possible regards Harry |
