Subject: Providing with Life Assurance-Biblical? |
Bible Note: Thanks everybody! It would seem as though I have such clear answers to give him. He, however, does seem to be bent on having family or the churc look after her. When asked, he simply smiles and answers that God will provide. I have reached the point where I simply feel that I'll not change his perception. It's like calling a green thing pink. I am convinced that it is green; he that it is pink. I did as he requested and drew up a letter for him to sign as far as the cancellation is concerned. Maybe I should add that it is his belief that Christ will come again before he dies. He is 38 years old. That may account for his need for retirement provision or disability cover, believing he will not die, however, and I confronted him with this. He accepted that being run over by a drunken driver will not be God's will for him but life, yet still persists in his ways. A co-server in his church also said that he should cancel his life assurance. I found out, when I asked him whether this guy has any assurance at all, that the guy had lost all his assurance due to bankruptcy. Do I sound annoyed? Frustrated at the situation is more like it. Thanks again for the response. I fear that the situation is troubling me more than it is troubling him. He is, as mentioned, just toooooo vlever for me when it comes to quoting scripture and his interpretation (with the aid of writings his church uses)thereof. Please pray that Christ my remove this burden from me. Kindest possible regards Yours in Christ Harry |
