Bible Question: Thank you for the reply but what about the children? The children can't be all that sinful in nature can they ? Why can't they be spared and adopted where teachings be taught to them in Gods ways? Does it also mean that a race who is so sinful in nature that God had to wipe them out once and for all for there can be no hope of turning the children around or there were no plans at all to re-educate (bring) them into God's ways. |
Bible Answer: Yes children can be very sinful. Look at a baby they are very self centered and if they were never trained and acted as they do as infants when mature they would kill in an instant to get what they wanted. As for adoption in those days children were a real liability and most orphans unless taken in by family were left to fend for themselves. Many would starve to death, instant death in that case may be viewed as being even merciful. Your question centers on their physical life which the Bible tell us is very short lived compared to eternity. We do not know how God handles children that die or are killed before they reach an age where they can make a choice themselves. Lastly God has declared Himself “just” therefore we have to accept that. There is no choice. What we view as being a possible or seemingly injustice really isn’t, we are just looking at it with our limited vision. The same goes for someone born blind or handicapped, we may view that as an injustice but God being “just “ will make the tally equal out at the end. I hope this provides some things to think about.
