Bible Answer: Greetings Buddy234! I won't presume to know your spiritual condition my friend, but it is obvious from your post that you have much anger and bitterness in your heart. Why? I don't know! But, I do know what Scripture says about are responsibilities toward others. Consider some of the following examples: 1) Mt. 5:43 - "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." 2) Mt. 7:12 - "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." 3) 1 Cor. 10:24 - "Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others." 4) Eph. 4:29 - " Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." 5) Phil. 2:3 - "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." 6) Jude 22 - "Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh." What about all of the 'one another's' in the Bible? For instance, we are command to do the following to one another: 1) Love one another (John 13:34-35) 2) Be devoted to and honor one another (Rom. 12:10) 3) Live in harmony with one another (Rom. 12:16) 4) To stop passing judgement on one another (Rom. 14:13) 5) Accept one another (Rom. 15:7) 6) Serve one another (Gal. 5:13) 7) Be humble, patient, gentle, and bear with one another (Eph. 4:2) 8) Be kind and compassionate and forgive one another (Eph. 4:32) 9) Submit to one another (Eph. 5:21) 10) Teach and admonish one another (Col. 3:16) 11) Encourage one another and build each other up (1 Thes. 5:11) 12) Offer hospitality to one another (1 Pet. 4:9) These are just a few of the 'one another's'. In light of these verses my friend, can you still say that our relationship with God is just supposed to be a 'me and god thing'? I would encourage you to pray that God would grant you the same kind of love for others that He has. When He does, you will want to invite others to your men's group and much more.
