Bible Question: Ive seen and heard alot about people getting personal prophecies. Is this stuff real,is there any biblical basis for it. It just seems plain old weird to me. Thanks |
Bible Answer: terryandangie, Public Revelation ended with the death of the last Apostle. God may indeed speak a personal revelation to individuals, but not everyone who claims it. And any personal revelation is just that, personal. Even the one who receives a personal revelation but check it against Public Revelation and "test the spirits." But no one is bound by any private revelation and in general they should be viewed with great scepticism since many cults, heresies and schisms originate in them. Emmaus |
