Bible Question:
Matthew 28:19-20 is the great commission. We are to go, we are to make disciple, we are to baptize and we are to teach to obey. What does it mean to teach to obey? |
Bible Answer: Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age." The Lord Jesus commanded his disciples to go and preach the Gospel, and to make disciples and teach these people the commands of Christ. Remember the greatest commandment is to love. To love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strenght, and to love our neighbor. The gospel is Jesus came to die for our sins and to be raised from the dead. When we believe we are born again or born from above. We become His disciples. We are always learning to do what is pleasing to Him. To obey Him means that we love Him. From Hauserpad |
