Bible Question: During a crisis situation, God gave me Isiah 49 and it ministered to me greatly. On several times he spoke to me and said read it again. Each time I read it I get something new or I get more clarification on the past reading. Therefore, I can only conclude that scripture interpretation is different under the direction of the Holy Spirit as the individual seeks out the truth and is ministered to according the need of the individual. Would you agree and why or why not? |
Bible Answer: Hi karen c I was reading your question and want to make sure I'm not barking up the wrong tree. 2PT 1:20 (KJV) No prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation. The meanning doesnt change. Gods Word must be allowed to speak for itself. As situations change application can change. EXAMPLE: A hammer is used to pound things, in one apllication it may be used to drive a nail, the next time you may use that hammer to straighten something etc. etc. I hope this isnt too primitive. Your brother in Christ: lionheart. |
