Subject: What is God's major attribute? |
Bible Note: Hi Steve, I think also that holiness is God's major attribute. I need to spend some time yet in deciding if that is His name as well. Scripture tells us that His name is Holy, and His name is Jealous. However, in Isaiah 6:3, I believe that the verse is indeed speaking of His attributes. "Holy, Holy, Holy" is the Lord of hosts." Yet we can see the triune God in verse 8 as well for the "who will go for Us" refers back to my mind to the holy Lord of hosts of verse 3. The verses that Hiskid84 has given you are interesting to compare. In Isaiah 6:8 we hear Isaiah saying "Here am I. Send me." In Matthew 13:15 I see that God's Son was sent and we can understand that it is He who would heal. Revelation 6:10 says, "How long, of Lord*, holy and true, wilt (Thou) refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Isaiah 6:3 has Isaiah saying, "Then I said, "Lord*, how long?" And (He) answered,..." From the heart, Ray |
