Subject: What about Christians swearing? |
Bible Note: Hello, Darcy - The English word "piss" is considered a vulgarism today, but it is not now nor has it even been profanity. It was not considered even a vulgarism in Elizabethan English, the language of the King James Bible. Vulgarism and profanity are not synonyms. Vulgarism is coarse or indecent language. Profanity is the treatment of something sacred with abuse, irreverence or contempt. --Hank |
