Subject: name Jehovah |
Bible Note: Hi EdB, Thank you for that point to ponder and the commentary. That is a good point. I would hope that the Jehovah's Witness who reads this, who does not believe in the triune God, will realize that His pronouns are divisible by three. 1) The first chaper of Genesis talks about God. Jehovah God is not spoken of until Genesis 2:4, even in the New World Translation of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Chapter one has a total of pronouns that is divisible by nine (as well as three). The total of YHWH plus the three I am occurances is as you say, 6831 which is divisible by 27 (as well as three). 2) Genesis 1:1 says, "Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts." It then goes on and talks about "resting" from His/ work and how (His) work was done. See #111013 above for comparisons. The total of the pronouns through His/ work is divisible by 27. The other point to consider as far as where to find the other three pronouns, would be the end of verse three and verse four. Genesis 2:3, "...work which God created [Lit; to make] and made. 4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord [YHWH] (God) made earth and heaven." Romans 8:28, "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to (His) purpose." Proverbs 16:3, NASB, "Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established. 4 The Lord has made everything for its [Or, His] own purpose,..." (His) purpose is my choice. Proverbs 16:4, NKJ, "The Lord has made all for (Himself),..." Praise the Lord! From the heart, Ray |
