Bible Question:
Hello I'm new to these forums and I have a couple of questions and I pray someone will take the time to answer tem. I am a christian, and me and my girlfriend (we are both christians) have been in love for 9 months now. We are an interraccial couple and her parents don't approve of me because of my race. They told her not to talk to me anymore and leave me alone. She wants to move out, but her parents say its against Gods word. I was wondering, is it wrong for her to MOVE OUT of her parents house?, her parents are obviously wrong, and making a prejudice judgement against me. They have never met me, and see only my skin color, the dad is a pastor also, he kicked me out of his church. I am 19, and she is 21 she has a good job to support her. With her moving out, I'm praying it will bring her parents to their senses, and I can also talk to the parents without fear of her getting in trouble. Is this right?, or is it against Gods will for her to move out??, please answer me back, I REALLY NEED ADVICE. thank you. |
Bible Answer: Dear "Kas" - The soundest advice you can hope for on an Internet Forum is to seek face-to-face guidance from a qualified Christian counselor within your own community. Obviously that would be someone other than your own pastor who you say kicked you out of the church which he purports to pastor. Taking your account to be accurate and true, I am filled with consternation and dismay by the apparent bigotry that it appears to depict. May God be at your side in your crucible and I pray that your problems will find resolution. --Hank |
