Subject: A certain way to drink-why? |
Bible Note: Dear Brian, Sorry, but, you still maybe have it confused. like I suggested in my previous post read the verses please. Where does it say, that the 9,700 lapped to drink? Judg 7:5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, "You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels to drink." 6 Now the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was 300 men; but all the rest of the people kneeled to drink water. Lapped or laps, It makes no difference, the 9,700 were NEVER described as lapping water, thereby making them, somehow, complacent. In fact it only says that the 9,700 kneeled, there is no other description of how they drank. Notwithstanding, There is no scriptural support for that theory. And again, brother Doc has given you very good advice, may I encourage you, Brian, to read and study the scriptures, and not follow teachings just because they may sound or look, good. Stand on the Word of God my friend, not on the theories of unschooled theologians. God bless John |
