Bible Question (short): why is Barak cited in Hebrews 11:32? |
Question (full): In Hebrews 11:32, the "Hall of Faith," Barak is included. When I read Judges 4, the story of Barak and Deborah, it seems that Barak was not an example of faith at all - that it was Deborah who trusted God and went into battle, and that she was to receive the credit. So why is Barak cited in Hebrews 11 and not Deborah? Other women are noted there, eg Rahab. |
