Bible Question: Why do people fast? Are we supposted to? Is there a passage that explains it? Thank you for your time and God bless you. |
Bible Answer: Isaiah 58 is an excellent discourse on fasting. One can fast anything. To fast something that is hindering your walk, TV, sports, whatever we love that needs to be disciplined in our life, and to bring our flesh into submission, and that time should be spent with the Lord in prayer and the Word. Isaiah 58 explains what God considers an acceptable fast and also states the benefits of such a fast. God bless |
