Bible Note: Dear John, Thank you for your response. The reason I asked this question is because I frequently hear preachers giving examples of what they call Jewish customs, but usually I don't find the custom mentioned in Scripture. I thought perhaps these verses in Judges spoke of a commonplace occurance and wondered how it came to be. Do you know of any reliable web sites where I might find some customs practiced by the Jews in Biblical times; perhaps how they lived and what their daily lives were like?
