Subject: Is baptism required for salvation? |
Bible Note: i clearly understand your connection but many things jesus did where prophecied, and how the first staement was prophecied. I dont know where he said you are a doctor of law and know that. As for the criminal on the cross Baptism for the remission of sins through jesus christ was not yet offered until he died for us. It would be the same that all crimianls are saved then without believing or baptism. Jesus did add of water and sprit but when so, he said "a man" must or "YE" must be born he did not say "I". The side qoutes dont even mention ezekiel they mention mark 16:16 "he that believeth AND is baptised shall be saved" if it where not necessary he might have said he who believeth and is baptised (if you want to) but dont have to is a different story. If so why would he mention and baptised it would be a waste, if you can take away "Baptise" why not take away "believe" and just get baptised and NOT beleieve to be saved? The criminal on the cross and anybody else who was born before jesus christ could not be saved then too in that frame of mind. I understand prophets and apostils may have made it look different but i am talking about jesus words here. |
