Subject: was paul married? |
Bible Note: Greetings Mandy! I have read books and articles which make similar arguments before. However, they are ALWAYS based on an attempt to justify a sinful lifestyle or political position and NOT upon Biblical evidence. Therefore, they have no value whatsoever as evidence of anything. Paul stongly condemns homosexuality. He exalts marriage, though he does encourage people to remain unattached (if possible) that they might focus all of their attention on serving Christ. But, nowhere does the Bible say that Paul hates women. Concerning Timothy, Acts 16:3 does indicate that Paul circumsized Timothy. However, this is NOT an indication of homosexuality. The religious leaders in Israel always performed this ritual. It was even done in the case of adults who converted to Judaism. I know that you received some strong responses to your post my friend. The reason is simple. So many people publish pure rubbish in the world. We try to avoid that kind of junk here on this forum. Everything must be supported by Scripture, not simply the opinions of man. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
