| Bible Question: Why do you think it took the Wise Men Years to Find Jesus (He was around 2yrs old when they did), and the shepherds found Him the same night he was born? (I have my own opinion on this but would love to hear other's opinions..) |

Bible Answer: Didn't they come from Persia which was a long distance away. They could only travel at night when the star was visible to them. They had a caravan (not a mini-van :-)) which travels slowly. It doesn't say how many wise men there were ... we always think three because there were three gifts. The shepherds came quickly because they were already in Bethlehem tending their sheep on the hillside. Also, Mary and Joseph weren't in the stable any more by the time the kings arrived (2 years is a long time to stay in the barn if you're not livestock.) |
