Bible Question: My husband is saved, but because of problems in a previous church that we attended, he does not go to church with me and our boys. I am a homemaker and so all of our income is from my husband's job. He does not approve of me giving an offering, but I would like to do so. Can you tell me if I am suppose to be a "cheerful giver" as I desire, or "obey my husband" as I also desire to do? How do I know which commandment God wants me to obey? |
Bible Answer: Under your cirucmstances God knows your heart and also knows your circumstances. Your husband as being head of the household and not wanting to give has released you from any responsibility of giving. I would encourage you to pray for opportunities to give in a different way other than monetarily. This is a short answer. I would like to see how others in the forum would respond.God's blessings on you and your house. The Hugger. |
