Subject: Is Passover celebrated by Messianic Jews |
Bible Note: One might read this passage differently knowing that its author did infact celebrate Passover. see Acts 20:6, 24:14. Jesus, of course, seemed to attach special significance to the celebration of Passover. And at almost every mention of the feast in scripture, it is commanded to be celebrated "throughout your generations... as a permanent ordinance" ["olam" meaning "eternally"] Ex 12.14. Christians should not abandon Easter, but for Messianic Jews, who have no cultural attachment to Easter, or those Christians who see themselves as "grafted in", the celebration of Passover is very special indeed. |
