Bible Question:
I ever heard the the name Jesus Christ can be represented by a number (it was something like 8 or 888). Then I tried writing the name in Hebrew and counted the number but it never summed to the same number. Can anybody give me a clue (may be if any of you understand Hebrew)? Thank you. |
Bible Answer: Hi millenious, "The name for Jesus in Greek is Iesous, and it has a theomatic value of 888." This was taken from "Theomatics" by Del Washburn, page 50. I couldn't find the quote in "Theomatics II". I,10; e,8; s,200; o,70; u,400; s,200; for 888 total. I don't know if the Hebrew word "Yhowsheba" adds up to that total or not. You'll have to check Webster's dictionary for that. Later, Ray |
