Bible Question:
Hi, what does that mean to love the Lord with all your heart? Also are there any stories in the bible that tell a tale about that? |
Bible Answer: Deut 6:5: You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Then Jesus quoted it in Matt 22:37 - And He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your mind." The phrase, with all your heart, runs throughout the Bible. I take it to mean just loving Him completely. With all the love you can give. Some say, with every ounce of your being. I like that. If you don't feel like you do love the Lord that way, just pursue it. Tell Him that's what you want, and read His word. You will find yourself there without knowing how you got there! May God fill your heart until it is bursting with love for Him - He loves you that much. |
