Subject: YET ascented to Heaven |
Bible Note: I have to agree with almost everything you've said here, all but the point about Jesus' visit to Hell/Hades. Although Peter is pretty clear about Jesus' going there, it's not quite so clear what exactly He preached to them or the end result therefrom. Cited for reference: 1 Pet 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. Thanks be to God, this is not a point that's critical for agreement to be pleasing to God, thus we can agree to disagree. There's so many good scholars on this Forum, I feel dwarfed. God bless you, dear friend. --Rowdy |
