Bible Question: What biblical verses state that the gospel is to be preached to the whole world? |
Bible Answer: This verse should be plain enough: Matt 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." There are other verses I'm sure but since we're anxious to follow God's Word, we only need to be told once, correct? Of course, it might be appropriate to mention that in NT language, the words "preach" or "prophet" were based on the Greek word meaning being a mouthpiece for God which would include this word teach.
