Bible Question:
Hi, JESUS COMING/ OUR DEPARTURE Thanks for your answear which has prompted my mind to comment as follow: Why can't christians admit that Jesus coming will not happen to-night,next week nor the week after [we may even extend this timeframe]because the Bible says that several events must come to pass before the return on Jesus. I reckon, we are in the midst of these events. In this context, there is no necessity to be ready now. On the other hand,it is ever more urgent that we should ready ourselves for the Lord's coming, because no one knows the hour nor the day of his departure from this world. The emphasis should be on our departure from this world rather than Jesus coming! With Love in Christ. FytRobert |
Bible Answer: To understand the timing of the "final events" you need to do a very intensive study. I personally believe that we are 'on the way out' and that the Rapture is the first event on God's calender. I know several Churches that DO ADMITT this fact, so it depends on your denommination and I suppose politics. But, I think you would be best served doing your own study. Try "Precept upon Precept" from Chattannnoga Tennessee. Start with Reveleation. it takes over a Year but is WELL worth the time. E-mail me if you have any follow up's. |
