Bible Question: what does the bible tell about David's faith in God? |
Bible Answer: Shalom Abyeapenalex, The Bible says much about David, and perhaps someone else can expound on it for you, with greater historical information - I can only offer one simple little lesson to be learned by David's life. What I get out of the Bible's history of the man, aside from the obvious connection to our Savior, is that he was very much just an average man with very many faults (with adultery and murder under his belt) - but he was a man who loved God and His commandments, a man who was quick to hear and even quicker to repent, as opposed to allowing himself the pleasure of wallowing in his 'ol woe is me' state of mind. Lesson: the devil has no weapon against you if all of your known and unknown sins have been taken care of - he's talking to a forgiven person, his bullets are all blanks! Cheri |
