Bible Question:
shalom y'all, I may be asking prematurely but I just read a verse that is somewhat confusing. Num. 19:9 states to take the ashes outside the camp "to a place that is clean." So far in my studies, up to this point, it appears that ALL of the area outside of the camp was considered unclean. Any ideas? Thanks Cheri |
Bible Answer: Dear Sister Cheri: Thats an astute observation. I would guess (not really a guess) Numbers 19:9 makes it pretty clear that ALL of the area outside of the camp is not unclean. Unless I'm reading wrong; even the tent of meeting was outside the camp. Not picking on you here, just curious, where does Scripture say, and why would we regard everything outside the camp unclean? If that were the case; how could they ever justify leaving the camp at all? Shalom and God bless John |
