Bible Question: What are the definitions of Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy? Thank you |
Bible Answer: mokeefe Leviticus refers to the Holiness Code for the Levitical preisthood that the book details. Numbers refers to the census in Numbers and also to the enumeration of the various encampment during the sojpurn in the desert. Deuternomy means "second law" because Moses reiterates the law given on Sinai in the book of Exodus. This is doen as Moses' life is drawing to a close and the Isreqalites are preparing to enter into the Promised land. Emmaus |
