Bible Question: In Kings1 it is stated repeatedly that certain events are written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel. What is the reference noted and how can a layperson obtain access to these books? |
Bible Answer: jimenda You are probably reading from the NIV which uses the word annals. However KJV, NKJV and NASB uses the words Chronicles. Many beleive this is referrring to what we call the First and Second Chronicles. These books follow the books of Kings in your Bible. However it could be talking about a secular historical account that hasn't been included in the Bible. If such account did exist it has been lost through the ages and there is no copies of it. EdB |
