Bible Question: After having read through many of your posts, I have a question that has bothered me, concerning the answers to questions posted? Why do none of you draw upon your own personal experience with God? Many of you are no doubt well versed in the Holy Scriptures, however, you spend so much time in discussions about the true meaning of each and every word, instead of the Spirit of the words and your own experience with God. Jesus has said explicitly that God is spirit and that the kingdom of God is neither here nor there, but that it is inside of each of us. Why then do you neglect your own revelations? |
Bible Answer: If by "us" you mean born-again believers, then "yes", God's Spirit does live within us. But the Lord said that not everyone who says to Him "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven. With that in mind, please consider Eph 2:2. Who is the "spirit" in this context? In other words, there will really be "tares" coming up with the wheat, and therefore since they are indistinguishable from the real thing, then not everyone in this forum will actually know God - some just think they do. Pray for them. In the meantime, try not to be critical and instead prayerfully ask the Lord how he wants us to interact within this forum. Try to remember we will be judged one day for every word and deed that we do. |
