Bible Note: Hello Tim What your saying is very true, the rapture doctrine has been around since the early church, but its also as you said, He originated the current dispensational view of the rapture, with makes his version a new doctrine that wasn’t there before and has actually caused people to be unprepared for the things that are coming, because of his doctrine people are so sure that there going to be raptured or taken out of here before all the bad things happen, (the tribulation) that very few of them even take in to consideration the times were living in, because they don’t think there going to be here and yet the Bible clearly shows when the rapture or gathering together with the Lord Jesus actually is. 2 Thessalonians 2 II Th 2:1-3 1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, This first verse is the rapture and now in verse 2, he is actually telling them not to listen to anyone else, just as in verse 3, Let no one deceive you, than he go’s on to tell exactly what has to happen before the gathering together with the Lord Jesus, For that Day Will Not Come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, Who Is the son of perdition? He’s the Antichrist and he doesn’t come until well in to the tribulation! 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, (NKJ) God Bless |
