Bible Question:
OK I don't want to offend anyone and it didn't say anywhere on here stuff about adult questions, but this is definately an adult question so if u r not an adult preferrably a married adult is who i want to talk to, please disregard this question thank you. To my question, my husband and I are having a discussion regarding oralsex. He believes that it is sodomy and therefore a sin and should not b performed i on the other hand do not agree with him, we have both searched the Bible but can't seem to find an answer to our question. If anyone can answer this, is oral sex sodomy, if it is then is it considered wrong for married couples to engage in oral sex, and if it is not sodomy, is there any sin attached to it. I am of course talking about this happening between a married couple. Thank You |
Bible Answer: NASB 1 John 3:4 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. AMPLIFIED 1 John 3:4 Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God's law by transgression or neglect--being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will). KING JAMES VERSION 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. "SIN is the transgression of the LAW" (emphasis added). In the Teachings of Moses the Law is very specific about which sexual acts or relations are prohibited. There are a number of specific prohibitions regulating sex. There are 613 specific laws in the Teachings of Moses. Please tell us which of the 613 specifically prohibits oral sex between a married couple. I neither defend nor attack the practice of oral sex. That is not the point. And often general Bible principles help us to determine what words, thoughts and deeds are sinful. I merely ask: Where in the Bible (book, chapter, verse) is oral sex PLAINLY prohibited? In another thread, one poster cites Leviticus 18:23 and 7:21 as proof that oral sex is "wrong." There is not a single word in Leviticus 18:23 or 7:21 that even mentions oral sex. The same poster writes: "It is unclean." Again, the Teachings (Law) of Moses specify what acts or things are unclean. It does not mention oral sex as being unclean. |
