Bible Question: When one is faced with a major life decision, such as accepting a job in another state, and especially when the window of opportunity is very narrow, in that one has only a day to make a decision, how does one know for sure what God's will is in the matter? |
Bible Answer: Tough question! Most believers today are on milk and are very ignorant of Christ and his leading by the Spirit. Only a mature believer would be able to discern God will in a situation as you have described. Not by the letter of the scripture but by his living insight, we live and move and have our being in Christ. God is not deaf or mute, he talks to us every day, AER WE LISTENING? The only way we know his voice is through intimate submission to Him, His spirit, and his living (Rahma) word. He is not like a computer, put info in get info out, with the data of the printed word. HE IS ALIVE, one would have to know him, be intimate with him to know his answer. YOU WOULD JUST KNOW, because he would tell you. Searching the written word for specifics of this job would basically be futile! Unless the job was as a hit man and you were being asked to kill people then you know the answer to that! Love, Tim |
